Cole Lanclos is a 2025 MIF/RHP with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Lake Creek. Primary middle infielder, looked natural at the position and displayed good athletic actions. Showed sound mechanics and moves well side to side flashing good range. Glove skills have some looseness but adjusts easily. Has present clean footwork and plays through the ball. Arm action is very quick and works at multiple slots and on the move, overall advanced feel for the infield. Also worked at pitcher, the right hander topped the fastball out at 78 mph with good sink life, he had a great outing and really established the FB well filling up the zone. He flashed a developing breaking ball with 11-5 shape, but stuck to the fastball with confidence. Showed a simple and repeatable operation with above average arm strength. Very fluid arm action that gets to a high 3/4 slot. He has a high baseball IQ with a good feel for the mound and showed pitchability. At the plate, the right handed hitter starts in an athletic stance that is slightly open. Hands start high and works short to the ball with a linear swing. Sprayed some contact around the field, does not gets the most he can out of the barrel. There are some moving pieces to the swing that will come together as he fills out the frame and gains strength.
