Waylon Jackson is a 2024 OF/RHP, 1B with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Lebanon, TN who attends Knights Academy. Medium frame with a stocky type build showing some strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.87 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, waits back on the baseball as he makes sure to keep it in front of him. Gathers the baseball and then shuffles into an uphill release. Threw it 67 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a balanced operation as he lifts to the belt before striding down the mound. Released from a high three-quarter slot as he filled up the zone. Fastball was us up to 70 mph and mixed in a breaking ball showing depth in upper-50's. Efficient in his work as he went right after guys. Secondary First Baseman, did a nice job of staying behind the baseball as he gathered it deep. Accurate with throws as he threw it 65 mph during workouts. Young actions but proved to have some feel for the position. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread out and balanced. Hands sink into separation and then utilized a linear swing path. Proved he could go gap to gap as he found barrels. Loud contact when he got extended out front. Great Student.
