Rickey Rivas is a 2022 SS/2B/3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace. Medium frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.36 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, plays low on the dirt, works to it cleanly with controlled actions, transfers quick from the glove to the hand and showed an ability to adjust slot and make solid throws clocked up to 82 mph across. Switch-hitter, showed well on both sides of the dish. Has some quickness to the swing on the right side, stays compact and controls the barrel with intent, projects well with strength. Some bat speed on the left side as well, slightly longer path but can drop the bat head well and create good jump and carry to the pull side. Good student.
