Larry Rodriguez is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Miami Lakes, FL who attends Barbara Goleman. A medium frame and bigger build. Has a physical and strong look to him. Ran a 6.96 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who was deliberate working to it with one-handed fielding off of the front foot. Took choppy steps into it with a longer arm action that had some whip to it. Throws came out well on a good flight at 86 mph. The throws carried well and had one-hop accuracy to the bag. A right-handed hitter with higher-set hands and a high-back elbow. He swings hard through the zone with good bat speed and hard rotation through the zone. Uses an inward toe-tap to get on time and work through the zone with strength at impact. Homered during BP and put together a good round of swings. Produced an 87 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher. Moved down the mound well with some deception and quickness to the arm stroke. Stays over the rubber with good backside rotation. Threw from an over-the-top arm slot with a fast arm out front. The fastball was up to 84 mph, with some deception being able to work north/south and find success in doing so. Showed an upper-70s slider with tight break, being almost cutter-like. Also showed it with more 2-plane break to it. Pieced together a solid outing and was able to really dominate the zone against right-handed hitters. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
