Luis Santiago is a 2023 RHP/IF, OF with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Roanoke, TX who attends Byron Nelson. Recorded a 6.94 second sixty-yard dash time. Compact, medium frame with present athleticism and room to add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a balanced delivery with slightly coiled leg lift and good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-80s for the majority of his outing, topping out at 84 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Displayed good command to both sides of the plate with his fastball that has some heaviness to it. Mixed in tight 11-4 slider for both strikes and was able to manipulate its shape for swings-and-misses. Secondary infielder that shows good lateral quickness to both sides, a clean funnel out in front and the ability to delivery accurate throws across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 85 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even, upright stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and small hover trigger. Repeatable stoke with slightly uphill swing plane, present speed and good feel for the barrel. Middle-of-the field approach with ability to turn over the barrel on the inner-half, swing translates well into game action as well. Fundamentally sound prospect with two-way abilities and upside remaining. Good Student. Named to the 2021 Perfect Game Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
