Gamalier Cartagena is a 2021 OF/1B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Aguas Buenas, PR who attends Manuel Cruz Maceira Baseball. Recorded a 7.01 second 60-yard dash time. Strong frame and build with present strength and room for more. Primary outfielder with throws low to the ground and quality arm strength recorded up to 86 mph. Gets on top of the ball well with good accuracy and drives through release. Righthanded hitter with an even base, hanging leg lift trigger, and a smooth swing. Shows good bat speed and maintains barrel through contact well. Controlled stroke with line drive result and bat path projects for additional power. Excellent student. Named to the Florida Prospect TP List.
