Ryan Hoeft is a 2024 1B/3B with a 5-5 175 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Great Bridge. Young, broad shouldered build with some strength to frame, will continue to grow physically moving forward. Ran a 9.09 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, takes short steps coming off the bag, fields the ball out front, short arm action on throws across the diamond, arm strength will continue to develop, balanced spinning off the bag, accuracy on throws. Some bend at waist fielding in the infield, shorter steps on the charge with a similar compact arm action on throws across. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing in the box. Slight hip coil at top of load, creates extension out front with a linear path through the zone. Bat speed will continue to develop, shows a handle for the barrel with consistent contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field.
