Chris Huseby -- Huseby and Brandon Holden were two very similar sophomore right handed pitching prospects who pitched together in Fort Myers and will be appearing close to each other on the prospect charts for the next couple of years. Huseby has an ideal projectable pitcher’s frame with broad shoulders and hips and narrow, loose musculature. His arm works very well, generating a fastball in the 85-88 mph range with a little bit of tail to it. Huseby’s curveball gets up to 73 mph and is a real hammer at the top of his velocity range; it’s hard and late and a strikeout pitch right now. Huseby’s mechanics are very good for a young pitcher and he had no trouble throwing strikes with either of his pitches. The sky’s the limit for this young man. Chris is an outstanding student as well.
