Dean Olsson is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Westview. He ran a 7.27 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with a longer build. Takes a side step into a really high leg lift, he does a nice job staying tall on the back side as he comes down the mound with a shorter arm action throwing from the ear, the fastball stays pretty straight at 77-81 mph as he works on line to the plate, he showed feel for the changeup at 68 mph with flashes of depth on the arm side, the slider showed best in the upper 60's with tilt and will become more consistent with better extension on the release, he is able to throw all three for strikes and gets the fastball to both halves looking good when he is down in the zone. Excellent student.
