Bryan Arrieta is a 2025 C/RHP/1B with a 5-11 171 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Archbishop McCarthy. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran an 8.25 60-yard dahs. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front, deliberate tempo to actions, can quicken footwork coming out of the crouch, longer arm action on throws but gets on top of ball, shows accuracy down to second base. Also pitched, leg lift up to waist and stays on line coming down the mound, shorter arm action through backside working to a mid three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, pitched to contact, mostly true in life; mixed a slider up to 68 mph with short break and flashed a straight changeup at 68 mph which plays off of fastball. Switch-hitter, begins with a taller, slightly open stance with a high hand set from the left side, keep hands inside through swing and shows comfort working to the pull side with line drive contact. Shorter to the ball from the right side, high hand set in set up, utilizes a leg lift trigger, looks to lift at contact and occasionally gets uphill, creates contact out front, bat speed will continue to develop. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
