Rylan Collins is a 2024 C/RHP, IF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Signal Mountain, TN who attends Lookout Valley. Medium frame with a sturdy build showing a strong lower half. Ran a 8.21 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting down in his stance with some flexibility. Showing some side straddle with runners on. Feel for the glove showing as received it well. Moving up early when working into throw downs as he gained ground. One hop accuracy to the bag as he recorded a pop time of 2.39 seconds. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a higher leg lift. Coils up at the top before unwinding and working down the hill. Medium arm circle as he released from a high three-quarter slot. Online to dish as he relies heavily on the arm to generate velocity. Fastball up to 70 mph and mixed in a slider showing depth in the upper-50's. Secondary Infielder, working low into the baseball as he does a good job keeping it in front of him. Feel for the glove showing as he scooped it up with athletic actions around the baseball. Throws around bag as he threw it 72 mph during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, starting with an open front side with slight bat waggle. Worked into a toe tap to stride as he loads up while keeping weight on back side. Stays linear through the zone as he looked to pepper it back up the middle. Creating some loud contact when he timed it up properly. Outstanding Student.
