Austin James Bertsch is a 2024 3B/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Plantation, FL who attends The Sagemont School. Medium sized athletic build with present strength and room to add more. Ran a 7.81 in the sixty yard dash. Primary third basemen on defense, charges the ball aggressively, clean mid line funnel with soft hands, adjusts slots while showing the ability to make acrobatic throws, ball had nice carry on throws to first base. Right handed hitter, employs a slightly open stance and a high hand set with a high back elbow, active hands pre pitch with a hanging leg lift trigger to launch, present bat speed with plenty of looseness and whip to the barrel, hands work with natural lift, consistently drove the baseball gap to gap, good feel for the bat head and ability to hit the ball where it is pitched. Named to the Florida Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
