Humberto Caldera is a 2023 OF/1B with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Wellington, FL who attends Wellington. Large, strong looking frame with strength throughout. Recorded a 7.16 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Fields off his front foot, gathers cleanly and maintains momentum into release. Used elongated arm swing to throw, while recording accurate throws up to 74 mph during drills. Right-handed pitcher that worked in the low-to-mid 70s during his outing, ticking up slightly at points and topped out at 79 mph in this look. Threw fastballs exclusively and will need to refine command and develop a secondary offering to become more viable option on the mound. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even base with rotational lower half mechanics and tons of strength in his lower half. Intent based swing with plenty of present bat speed, strength in his hands and the ability to lift the baseball. Middle-of-the field approach with ability to turn the barrel over on the inner half and produced loud impact frequently. Will continue to improve with minor adjustments in his movements into launch. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
