Aleksei Goldhill is a 2020 RHP/SS with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends The Masters. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Primary right handed pitcher with a balanced delivery. Stays flexed on back side at gather. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters arm slot. Stays in tempo throughout and created good direction to the plate with lower half. Fastball came out of hand cleanly generating some downward plane through the zone in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 80 miles per hour. Curveball had 10/5 to 11/5 shape with tight spin and good depth in the upper 60's. Also flashed a changeup offering in the low 70's that produced some sink to the bottom of the zone. Displayed good feel for the bottom quadrants of the zone and effectively changed speeds. Frame and arm action project for additional velocity. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing athletic footwork while ranging for and working through the baseball. Quick transfers and maintains momentum towards the bag while working through transition. Flashed the ability to throw from multiple arm angles with accuracy topping at 78 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, even stance. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Coils hands slightly at load and worked to baseball on a simple, direct path. Utilized a line drive barrel plane while working the baseball to the middle of the field. Flashed to ability to throw bat head out front and generate sharp contact to the pull side gap when squared.
