Daniel Dominguez is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-5 150 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Ponce De Leon. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front, shows quickness to actions coming out of crouch, works into a compact arm stroke and stays on top of throws well, some effort at release, 2.07 best pop time, repeats footwork well, tools project. Takes short and quick steps to the ball in the outfield, aggressive to it, similar short arm action on throws, occasionally gets uphill but works through release, shows accuracy when on top of the ball. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box with a high leg lift trigger for timing. Lowers hands at start of load, shows quickness to them and gets lower half involved in swing well. Swings with intent, gets mistimed with weight shift at times, shows ability to work both gaps when squared. Excellent student.
