Manuel Cruz is a 2021 OF/LHP with a 5-6 150 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Medium frame with a young, somewhat stocky build. Ran a 7.92 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, working aggressively to the baseball as he takes efficient routes. Gathers out front cleanly and then carries weight into throws. Accurate to the bag as he threw it 75 mph during drills. Fundamental in his footwork with feel for the position and will make strides with a physical gain. Secondary Left-Handed Pitcher, working exclusively from the stretch. Lifts and then falls into stride as he worked online to target. Released from a three-quarter slot with a full arm stroke in the back. Fastball up to 72 mph and proved mixed in a slurvy breaking ball as well. Left-Handed Hitter, starting wide and down in his stance. Strides out while staying low before working into a short, simple swing path. Feel for the barrel showing as he proved he could drive it to all fields. Mechanically sound swing that plays with a strength gain in the future. Great Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
