William Foote is a 2021 3B/RHP with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Roosevelt, UT who attends Union. Physical build that can get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with no lower half stride into contact, backside hitter, leans back and looks to lift the ball, will need to incorporate more weight transfer into his swing in order to take advantage of his strength. 7.69 runner, arm strength is his best asset on defense, gets good carry from an over the top arm slot, can continue to work on his lower half quickness and agility. Also pitched, works from the stretch with some drop and drive actions to the plate, has some deception in his arm stroke from a high 3/4's arm slot, hitters don't see the ball well. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, showed nice command of his fastball to both sides of the plate and can intentionally elevate the pitch to change hitter's eye levels. Had some feel for a soft curveball with 11/5 shape and depth and got some swing/miss on the pitch. Presently has a higher ceiling on the mound. Good student.
