Brett Patten is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Manasquan, NJ who attends Manasquan. Recorded a 7.20 second sixty-yard dash time. Projectable frame with long levers and plenty of time to fill out. Primary outfielder, bounce to his step, fields slightly off to the side, maintains momentum into and through crow hop into release. Recorded arm strength up to 79 mph with present arm speed and carry in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher, simple delivery, repeats well, fair amount of strikes from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the most part, topping out at 77 mph with short life to the arm-side when in sync. Mixed in curveball to disrupt timing with loose spin traits and 11-5 shape to it. Left-handed hitter that hits from an even stance with a high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics with present bat speed and consistent bat-to-ball skills. Middle to pull-side approach with occasional leverage out in front and some raw bat speed. Developing feel for the barrel with ability to get extended out in front on the inner half of the plate. Will continue to improve with additional strength. Good Student.
