Jayden Brown is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-8 240 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Lutheran High School Parker Colorado. Large, tall frame with long limbs. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. High leg lift and stays balanced on back side at gather. Worked to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Lands in line with front side and carries momentum to glove side at finish. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed occasional downhill tilt to the bottom of the zone in the low to mid 70's, topped at 76 mph. Curveball had 1/7 shape with looser spin and solid depth in the upper 60's. Generated sharper depth with curveball when staying on top of offering. Displayed developing feel for the edges of the plate. Also worked out defensively from first base showing fluid footwork while surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange well. Released from a three-quarters arm slot creating accurate carry to the bag at 72 mph. Left handed hitter with a balanced, open stance and even hand set. Clean hand path to contact with a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Showed present bat speed with strength at contact. Primarily employed a mid field to pull side approach flashing good carry to the gap when squared. Excellent student as well.
