Brandon Swanson is a 2023 3B/RHP, 1B with a 5-10 200 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Faith Lutheran. Medium, broad shouldered build with present strength to frame and incorporates it well into actions. Ran an 8.32 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front and shows balance to actions, stays light with footwork, works on top of throws with occasional cut action, accurate across the diamond and arm strength will continue to develop. Fields it out front at first base too, longer strides off the bag and overall footwork will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; upper body dominant swing and occasionally gets mistimed with shift. Incorporates physical strength well and stays short to the ball, keeps hands inside the ball and projects with additional extension out front, shows some carry when squared off the barrel. Good student.
