Alex McCranie is a 2023 SS/UT with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Pace, FL who attends Pace. Medium and lean frame with room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.19 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield with quickness to the baseball, charges quickly with range in any direction, developing hands that field the ball while bending at the waist, present athleticism into throws with average arm strength currently, topped out at 76 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a slightly open stance and a tucked hand set, long swing path with upper half dominant actions to stroke, young barrel control with some strength off the head and more to come, will continue to improve with reps. Good student.
