George Krenkel is a 2023 1B/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Ocean, NJ who attends Ocean Twp. Great frame to build on with some length to the frame, a high waist, and already developing strength. Ran a 7.17 in the sixty. A primary first baseman, aggressive ranging to both sides, sets up with balance, and has very good arm strength to the bases. A right handed hitter, starts from a wider base striding slightly in keeping his front side on well. Flat swing with some hand speed and intent with the barrel. Getting out front and hitting line drives to the middle and pull side. Strong prospect with easy power projection. A secondary pitcher, controls his long levers well working down the mound. Solid shoulder speed with a high 3/4 release, gets angle with some heaviness to the fastball. Solid shape/feel for his 11/5 curveball. Good two way potential.
