David Lally is a 2022 RHP/IF with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Grand Blanc, MI who attends Grand Blanc Community. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Right-handed pitcher, up-tempo pace to delivery, leg lift up past belt with slight hip turn, get tall on backside, lands slightly closed with strike foot. Short and fast arm action through the backside, works to a three-quarters release point. Fastball jumps out of hand and shows big life to arm side at times, flashes hard sink when down, topped out at 94 mph, occasionally misses to arm side. Tight spin on the curveball with 11-5 shape and depth up to 80 mph, maintains arm speed at release; flashed a changeup at 82 mph with fade to arm side and shows a feel for the pitch, creates deception with mimicked release. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Notre Dame.
