2023 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Jack Hamm is a 2024 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Gravette, AR who attends Rogers Heritage. Long and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection ahead. 7.39 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop, moves well to the ball with pretty athletic and fluid actions, tends to bend at his waist and get his glove down late, gets on top of his throws with some carry across the diamond, third base projection in the future. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow slightly open base with a quiet load and shift into contact, has lift in his swing, some present bat speed with more to come as he gets stronger, has power potential. Also pitched and has potential as a pitcher/two-way prospect. Works from the stretch with a compact arm action that hides the ball well, high 3/4's to over the top slot creates nice downhill angle. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with more to come, mostly straight but spotted well down and to both sides, showed some nice cutting action on occasion. Flashed a change up that has potential. Tends to flip his curveball up to the plate, might be better suited for a slider in the future. Good athlete who is going to keep improving on both sides of the ball. Good student. Named to the Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
