Sam Nicolino is a 2020 OF/ with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Roosevelt. Medium frame with strength in upper half and broad shoulders. Ran a 7.00 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Aggressive and athletic charge to the ball. Fields to the side staying low throughout. Quick footwork through exchanges with a smooth arm action into release. Gets underneath throws a bit with developing arm strength topping out at 72 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a wide stance and an early toe tap trigger for timing. Drifts onto the front side some. Swings with intent through a line drive plane. Will impact the ball when able to stay on time.
