Michael Lippe is a 2022 OF with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Whitefish Bay, WI who attends Whitefish Bay. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to build, additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 6.74 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, sound defensive actions on the approach, longer arm action through the back but works on top of the ball nicely and comes through it at release, present arm strength, tools will play in right field, nice on line carry to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; loads hands back at start of swing, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Shows fluidity to barrel through the zone upon launch, line drive oriented approach, occasionally gets downward with path, preset bat speed stands out and incorporates strength, shows the ability to work to all fields. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Louisville.
