Keagan O'Brien is a 2027 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Punta Gorda, FL who attends Venice. Smaller build with athletic actions. Big leg raise delivery, lands closed with a cross fire angle to the plate, extended mid 3/4's arm slot creates even more angle, lots of deception in his mechanics. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some cutting action. Slider was his dominant pitch and it abused hitters in this outing, throws it hard with lots of sweeping break and does an excellent job of locating the pitch. Also mixed in a firm change up that had potential. Slider heavy diet that was very successful. Left handed hitter, has a clean and simple swing with a good path to the ball, stays connected well and creates bat speed, has potential as a hitter with his athleticism. 7.32 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound and shows his athleticism very well there, fields the ball cleanly off his front foot, carries his momentum into his throws well. Athlete with two-way potential. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
