Nate Savino is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Sterling, VA who attends Potomac Falls. Long and lean athletic build with plenty of room to fill out and get stronger. Hides ball well in back with a compact arm swing, 3/4's to high 3/4's arm slot, arm is fast and loose, repeats his mechanics well. Mid-90's fastball, topped out at 96 mph, has excellent running life at times, maintains his velocity from the stretch. Sharp breaking two-plane slider is spotted well and used with good feel, can likely add power to this pitch in the future. No present need for a change up with two dominant present offerings and command. Projectable build and loose and fast arm indicate that there may be more velocity there in the future. Elite level pitching prospect. Good student, verbal commitment to Virginia. Named to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
