2023 Midwest Top Prospect Games
Collin McClintock is a 2026 OF/RHP, UT with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Fairfax, IA who attends Prairie. A taller and lean frame. Higher-set waist in the build. Room to continue filling out moving forward. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a compartmentalized step and turn with a leg lift just above the belt as he worked down the mound. He threw from a higher three-quarters arm slot and had a clean release. He was longer through the back and had some whip. The fastball has running life and worked up to 81 mph, being able to show the pitch often, competing in the zone. He paired it with a high-tilt slider with good depth to it as he mixed it in the upper-60s. It could be a little slurvy at times, getting an 11/5 shape to it, but it showed good lateral break. He threw an inning of scoreless ball, striking out 2 opposing hitters. A right-handed hitter with a spread stance, higher set hands, and a high back elbow. He used a toe-tap trigger to get on time with pitches and was able to work off the back leg well, showing the ability to lift the ball. He leverages well with a quick barrel and quick path to it. He drove the ball well pull-side during his round of BP swings. Had some bat speed present with the ability to get extended out front. Great round of BP swings. Produced an 83 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Worked out as an infielder, showing off quicker feet as he worked through the round with good accuracy over to first. Throws were at 86 mph, and he had a clue for the footwork with good range to support him. Had good strength on the arm and showed off good throws. Also worked out as an outfielder with some bounce to the feet as he charged the ball, fielding it with one hand off the front foot. Throws came out on a good flight, and he fields it under the waist before throwing from a lower slot with whip to the arm. Throws were at 83 mph and accurate around the bag during his reps.
