Calen Kampes is a 2020 C/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Colora, MD who attends Rising Sun HS. Recorded a 4.87 second 40-yard dash time. Large frame with good present physicality and well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary catcher with good athleticism and quick actions. Best pop time recorded of 1.93 seconds. Quick exchange and transfer who gains ground well. Will be able to improve arm strength by following through better with lower half. Righthanded hitter with a balanced, crouched stance to start. Good bat speed and is timed up well. Short and compact to the ball with very good impact off the barrel. Plenty of bat speed with a clean swing path. Can improve power with a bit more extension out in front. Good student. Named to the 2019 NE Indoor Top Prospect List.
