Ricky Doughtie is a 2019 RHP/3B/1B with a 6-4 230 lb. frame from Bellaire, TX who attends Bellaire HS. Big build with plenty of remaining strength potential. Slow paced delivery, stays under control and directional, long and loose arm action from a high 3/4's release point, repeats his mechanics well. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, looked like he was working a 2-seamer/4-seamer approach with some sink at lower velocities, also cut his fastball effectively at 72 mph a couple of times, threw consistent strikes with his fastball. Curveball flashed some promise when he release it with full arm speed. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a wrapped barrel start, mid to opposite field contact. Good student.
