Garrett Kadolph is a 2022 1B/RHP with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Wahlert. Large, physical frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.89 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, hands play at the ball out front, makes the plays and moves well on feet off the bag, shows carry on throws. Also pitched, compact arm action through the back and works over front side well at release. Short stride coming down the mound and can incorporate additional lower half into drive. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, worked mostly to glove side; slider showed 10-4 shape with short tilt when on top. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance, weight on backside with tight hands at start of swing. Aggressive approach and swings with intent looking to impact the baseball, ball jumps when creating leverage through the zone and squaring it up. Longer swing path, shows timing and swung it well in live action. Excellent student. Named to Great Lakes Top Prospect List.
