Reece McKenzie is a 2021 2B/SS with a 5-5 117 lb. frame from Gresham, OR who attends Gresham. Small build with lots of room to grow and fill out, ran a 7.89 60 yard dash. Primary second baseman, quick feet with solid hands, developing arm strength that will continue to strengthen as he matures. Righthanded hitter, sets upright with a narrow base, open stance, simple leg lift trigger, stays on back leg, rotational with a limited lower half and could see improvement with additional lower half involvement, loose hand path to ball with a line drive swing plane, line drive contact to the middle of field. Will continue to get better with added strength and maturity, Great student.
