2004 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Cameron Scott is a 5'10", 165 lb. middle infielder from Culpepper, Virginia, with 7.19 sixty speed on a slow track. Cameron brings plenty to the table as a prospect. In the field he shows pro level arm strength with 85 mph velocity. Cameron has very solid college level infield tools now. He has a polished glove with second base type feet, and he showed very good body control on all balls. Cameron is a right handed hitter with very good bat speed who shows very good balance and polished actions at the plate. He hits out of a narrow, open to closed approach with very strong hands. He knows how to hit, and will hit to all fields, although he does like to pull the ball and has the bat speed and approach to do so. Scott had many quality at bats in the games, and can turn on the ball with wood. A must see player for college coaches. Cameron is a good student.
