2004 Western Underclass Showcase
Cameron is a junior infielder/outfielder from California with a lean 6-1 frame and a good projectable build. He played both infield and outfield at the showcase and we probably like him better in the outfield at this point. Cameron's best single tool is his running speed and he used it well to chase down balls in the gaps. Cameron had a very good event with the bat. He had three game hits and showed the ability to manipulate the bat head and adjust to different pitches and different situations. He could increase his bat speed with better use of his lower half and hips. More strength, which should be coming, will help, too. We also like Cameron's approach to the game. He likes to play and knows how to play. Cameron is also a good student.
