Braeden Collins is a 2023 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Pikeville, NC who attends Wayne Country Day. Nice young athletic build with some present strength and plenty of physical projectability remaining. Has an athletic delivery on the mound with a good hip turn and lower have drive to the plate, full arm circle in back with a high 3/4's arm slot that creates good plane to the plate, has an easy and fluid tempo and everything stays on time well, arm stroke is on line and he hides it well in back. Steady mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight with some ride up in the zone. Slider is a present out pitch, tunneled well with his fastball with power and sharp biting action in addition to the ability to throw consistent strikes with the pitch. Change up showed quality as well with good arm speed and some sink. Three-pitch starter with command and a present out pitch. Potential two-way prospect, has bat speed from the right side with some lift out front and good power potential, hits with intent. 7.33 runner with third base tools on defense, including his strong throwing arm. Very interesting young arm. Excellent student. Named to the Fall Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
