Braden Burress is a 2024 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Snow Hill, NC who attends Greene Central. Compact well developed frame with excellent athleticism and strength with time to add. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 7.12 seconds. Primary IF, with good footwork, showing quickness and hop to his actions. Presents glove nicely out front with smooth moves and clean transfer at the midline. Arm is a big time tool on the diamond generating very accurate throws up to 85 mph and also showed ability to throw on move from different slots. Reps in OF, were clean as well and showed very impressive arm strength up to 91 mph on throws to bags. RHP using drop and drive type mechanics, mixing pitches well. Lets his athleticism work for him here and changed slots a bit too. FB up to 83 mph with sinking type movement, SL up to 70 mph profiling as power out pitch long term and CH with good deception and appropriate low spin rates. RHH using an open stance and handsy swing with present strength at impact. Barrel is consistent and leaned on some balls through the oppo gap. Line drives in the middle of the field with regularity and collected a bunch of hits in game action. Performed in all aspect during games, flashing the glove on several special plays. Outstanding student and definitely a player to follow closely in the coming months.
