Rolando "Roli" Lujo is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Coconut Creek, FL who attends Westminster Academy. Young, medium frame with square shoulders and long legs; projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, sound first step moving towards the ball, developing footwork, gets on top of throws, arm strength will continue to improve with physical strength. Also pitched, on line delivery and incorporates lower half, shows arm speed through the back working to an over-the-top release point with a short arm action. Works on top of the ball and got to both sides of the plate with fastball, topped out at 80 mph and worked exclusively off his fastball. Threw strikes and pitched to contact. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set at the plate. Shows a feel for the barrel and projects moving forward; slight lift in swing path and gets the barrel through the zone. Loose swing, utilizes a pull side approach and shows some whip through the zone. Very good student.
