Juan Rivera is a 2022 2B/SS/OF with a 5-6 150 lb. frame from McAllen, TX who attends Sharyland Pioneer. Smaller compact build with some present strength for his size. Left handed hitter, has very sound base hitting mechanics with solid timing, balance and direction to contact, swings hard while staying short and compact to the ball, middle of the field line drive approach that should result in high average results, especially with additional strength. 7.29 runner, was very aggressive on the bases during the games and got good jumps. Same strong fundamentals and execution on defense, feet work well through the ball with good balance, hands are soft and sure and makes plays cleanly, can throw from multiple arm slots with accuracy and some carry. Solid all around player who will keep improving as he gets stronger. Good student.
