Matthew Holloway is a 2021 LHP/OF with a 6-2 191 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Mountain Brook. Large frame with some strength present on his build. Only pitched at the event working from a unique delivery, some deception present with windup, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, works out over his front side while he could create additional arm whip through the release. Fastball is straight and topped out at 75 mph, mixed in a curveball with 1-to-7 shape and developing spin, works best with the curveball when maintaining fastball arm speed, does a good job throwing a lot of strikes, filled up the strike zone and repeats mechanics. Good student.
