Landen Clines is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 6-3 155 lb. frame from Rogers, AR who attends Heritage Christian HS. Tall and very slender athletic build, lots of physical projection. Side step delivery with a deep and busy arm action in back, shows the ball to the hitters, repeats well for his complexity, extended 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, gets lots of fastball movement in all directions, not much straight at all, can get outs in the zone with his fastball even in the mid-70's due to its life. Slider had good tight spin with good power compared to his fastball, shows some sharpness, can use more often. Would benefit from a change up, didn't observe one this outing. Threw strikes with both pitches and got outs. 7.21 runner with some athleticism. Left handed hitter with barrel skills that will improve with additional strength. Good student.
