Hunter Paulsen is a 2021 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Allatoona HS. Large frame with present strength in the build. Ran a 7.21 second 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher wit ha simple side step delivery into medium leg lift delivery. Lands lightly closed off creating some deceptive cross fire actions to the plate. Clean and fluid arm action in the back into an extended low three-quarter release. Fastball showing life through the zone at 79 miles per hour. Sharpness to a sweeping curveball through the zone in the mid-60's that has the potential as a putaway pitch. Also worked out as a secondary outfielder. Aggressive close with athletic strides to the ball. Clean field into smooth footwork through transitions. Gets the ball out quickly with arm strength to the bag topping out at 86 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with an upright stance to start. Rotational shifts into contact working a longer path to the pull side of the field creating line drive contact. Very good student as well.
