2022 Jr. National Showcase
Dawson Simmons is a 2024 OF/SS with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Marerro, LA who attends St. Augustine. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 6.55 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, speed will give him big range in centerfield, developing footwork through the ball, has good arm strength that will improve immediately with better momentum through his throws. Also worked out in the infield. Right handed hitter, hits with a back tap load and short hanging front foot load into contact, needs more consistency getting his foot down, has a short and compact swing with some strength in his hands, showed the ability to drive the ball to the pull side when he got the barrel out on time. Quick twitch athlete who will continue to improve as his fundamentals advance. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
