Drew Davis is a 2027 RHP/MIF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Sumrall, MS who attends Sumrall. Medium, athletic looking frame with some quick twitch and room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.16 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that used a belt high leg lift into balance and athletic movements down the slope into foot strike. Clean, easy operation with tons of arm speed that projects for more velocity in the near future. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 80s with tons of carry through the zone and topped out at 86 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Strike thrower with developing command of the entire strike zone, mixed in abrupt two-plane breaking ball with late bite that generated empty swings. Will continue to enhance overall arsenal with proper mechanical refinements and additional velocity. Secondary middle-infielder with athletic actions throughout the fielding process. Displayed a quick first step to move laterally from side-to-side, a clean funnel out in-front and plenty of arm strength across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 87 mph across the diamond. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout as well, where he showed similar athleticism and arm strength. Exhibited proper footwork to field, gathered cleanly and maintained momentum into release. Produced arm strength up to 90 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow base with a quick launch, plenty of present bat speed and strength in his hands. Displayed feel for the barrel, translating it well into game action by homering to left field. Swing projects well moving forward. Athletic, dynamic prospect with legitimate two-way potential and tons of physical projection remaining. Named to the 2023 Perfect Game Select Baseball Festival.
