Cole Bertsche is a 2019 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends St. Augustine HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. 7.48 runner, fields out front with soft hands, has a quick release and good second base balance and footwork, accurate throws. Right handed hitter, short contact swing, has some hand quickness, hits the ball out front with middle of the field to pull side contact, moves the ball around well. Also pitched, high leg lift delivery with a 3/4's arm slot, tall at release. Fastball topped out at 75 mph with some running action, gets over his curveball well with good depth. Pretty sound fundamental player who should keep getting better as he gets stronger. Very good student.
