Blake Turney is a 2019 3B/OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends William B Travis High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.64 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary third basemen, waited back on ball to field, got on top well, with long strides to both sides. Developing transfer skills and raw arm strength up to 80 mph with accuracy to the bag. At the plate, even stance, high hand set, and a quick leg lift timing mechanism. Swing worked primarily through hands with good quickness through the zone. Raw bat speed with ability to drive the ball when squared. Very aggressive, pull side approach with a short, compact swing to the ball. Good student.
