Carlos Perez is a 2020 C/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Florida Christian. Big and strong athletic build with room to get stronger. 6.95 runner, has a compact arm action with a high release, gets rid of the ball quickly, repeats his mechanics and footwork well, can be too anxious with the glove receiving the ball at times, pretty polished defensively. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a good lower half shift to contact, has quick hands, good lift in his swing and really projects power, gets the ball in the air to the middle of the field. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami.
