Grayson Dato is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Milton, GA who attends Cambridge. Large frame with an athletic and slender build. Ran a 7.13 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Reads the ball off the bat well and plays below. Longer arm stroke in back and can create some carry out of the hand staying accurate to the base at 79 MPH. Righthanded hitter with an even stance and short leg lift trigger for timing. Pretty direct path into contact with a slightly elevated plane. Can drive the ball to the deep parts of the field with loud jump when squared. Drives the ball to middle of the field as well as to the pull side. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a rocker step delivery and leg lift above the waist. Long arm action in the back with fluidity. Uses a high three-quarter arm slot to release. Maintains direction well down the mound. Fastball shows slight arm side run commanding the ball well to the arm side at 82 MPH. Short slider/cutter hybrid with limited lateral movement. Good student as well.
