Matthew Colvin is a 2017 3B/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from New Port Richey, FL who attends River Ridge HS. Has a large frame, lean build, and room to continue to fill out physically as he puts on additional muscle. Posted a 7.48 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, showed developing actions and footwork, arm strength was up to 77 mph on throws across. From the outfield, had clean transfers into accurate throws, arm strength was as high as 77 mph. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a narrow base, and upright stance. Stays on a level plane through contact, has solid torque and separation. Good student.
