Andrew Bright is a 2021 RHP/IF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Wellford, SC who attends James F Byrnes. Medium build with some present strength. Full wind up with a big side step start, gets good hand separation leading to a high 3/4's arm slot, repeats his delivery well and throws strikes with all his pitches. Consistent low 80's fastball with good arm side run and sinking action, topped out at 83 mph, has been up to 89 mph at PG events in the past. Showed good feel for landing his slider for strikes. Used two different change ups effectively, a straight change with good arm speed and a nice knuckleball. Strike thrower who mixes it up and keeps hitters off balance. Showed good athletic actions in the middle infield on defense with active feet and a quick release on his throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a big pull back low, long and loose swing. Good student, signed with Florence-Darlington Technical College.
